KARACHI: The Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, met with the Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, at the Governor House here on Friday.
A statement said that at the meeting, they discussed the prevailing law and order in the province especially in Karachi.
It said that they exchanged views on a coordinated strategy for bringing improvement in the situation.
At the meeting it was agreed that action would continue against the criminals without any distinction and that the police would be provided latest weapons for enhancing their capacity.
The intelligence network would be activated further for the arrest of the terrorists and anti-state elements.
The security at the entry points would be tightened to prevent the entry of terrorists and criminals.
It was resolved at the meeting that across the board action would be initiated against the criminals irrespective of their affiliations.
It was pointed out that the criminals were out to mar the peace and harm the people and their machinations would be frustrated.
The terrorist elements would not be tolerated at any cost, it was further stated.
