BAGRAM AIR BASE: US President Barack Obama Wednesday warned troops of "heartbreak and pain" ahead in the Afghan war but said that thanks to their sacrifice, there was a "light on the horizon."
Obama, during a surprise trip to Afghanistan, told troops that the fight was still tough, and that some would get killed or injured, but added: "There is going to be heartbreak and pain and difficulty ahead, but there is a light on the horizon because of the sacrifices you have made."
