KABUL: President Barack Obama made an unannounced trip to Afghanistan late Tuesday, meeting with President Hamid Karzai immediately after arriving in Kabul, an AFP reporter traveling with the president said.
Obama, who landed at Bagram Air base at 10:20 pm local time (1750 GMT), was expected to sign a strategic partnership agreement during the visit.
