Modern sports complex to be set up at Badami Bagh Bus Stand

The Punjab government has decided to shift the sprawling General Bus Stand Badami Bagh to Shahdara and restore cricket ground, gymnasium and wrestling arena besides other state of the art sports facilities near Iqbal Park Lahore Punjab Chief Minister has constituted a co-ordination committee headed by Senior Member Board of Revenue to complete these public welfare projects. Secretary Transport Punjab, Secretary Sports Punjab and Secretary Industry are members of this committee which will submit its final recommendations to the CM.

This was stated by Provincial Minister for Sports & Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan while presiding over a meeting to review restoration of playgrounds affected due to Azadi Flyover and other development projects at Iqbal Park (Minto Park) on Monday. Secretary Sports, Tourism & Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Khan Khitchi, Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, Director General PHA Mian Shakil Ahmed, General Manager (TEVTA) Akhtar Bharwana, Deputy Secretary Transport Sohail Khawaja and concerned officers of City District Government attended the meeting.
