PESHAWAR: Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company (TESCO) has asked the consumers in FATA to avoid use of electric heaters, tandoors, geysers and other high consumptive electric appliances during current winter season.
A Spokesman for the Company said here Tuesday that major cause of load management and low voltage problems in FATA is lavish use of electricity by the consumers compelling the company to carry out forced shedding.
All the power transformers installed at various grid stations feeding FATA are overloaded and putting further load on these transformers can cause major power failures which will increase the miseries of the people and the company manifold.
Smooth power supply can only be restored in FATA if the consumers use electricity only for lighting purpose. He also asked the consumers to install meters and pay electricity bills being our national obligation on account of which they will get rid of low voltage and load management problems.
