13 killed in Khairpur cylinder blast

At least thirteen people were killed and several others sustained injuries in a gas cylinder blast occurred at Hangoraja, an area of Khairpur district, private television channels reported on Tuesday. According to details, a wagon carrying over thirty passengers was passing through the National Highway when it reached near the Hangoraja area, the cylinder of the ill-fated van blasted with a bang.
As a result, some five passengers died on the spot, while several others received injuries. The Rescue and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
