pak france 400KARACHI: Pakistan open team made a poor start in second World Mind Games being staged in Lillee (France), said a message received here on Saturday by Mind Sports Association of Pakistan (MSAP).

Over one thousand players from 33-nations are featuring in four disciplines - Bridge, Chess, Draught and Go.

Pakistan Open team has lost all three matches of the opening day. They went down 11-19 to Brazil, more strangely 12-18 to Bangladesh and drew level with Ukraine, which is at the tail-end of the group.

Pakistan seniors also have lost three matches, but with smaller margins, which have kept them in contention, since they were top rated teams. Seniors lost to Italy 14-16, 13-15 to USA, which was actually a drawn match. It seems Pakistan team was penalized 2 Imps for some reason. In the third match seniors lost 14-16 to Brazilian outfit.

National women team is in a better position on points table, It is on 6th position. Having a draw against France, sharing 30 VP equally. They outplayed Venezuela 24-6 but lost 5-25 to Germany.
