Sania Mirza, who is presently celebrating her 80th week as the top women’s doubles tennis player in the world, did not take kindly to former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar's response to her achievement.
Mirza expressed doubts over former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar’s common sense when the latter said something that seemed like belittling the No. 1 Doubles player of the world’s achievement in a Twitter message.
Sania Mirza had actually posted on official account Twitter, and said,
Acclaim poured in for Mirza from all quarters but Manjrekar, while congratulating her, reminded her that she was No. 1 in the doubles category.
Mirza, however, was not impressed by Manjrekar's response and pointed out that since she did not play singles anymore, it was common sense. She did thank him for his wishes in another tweet though.
