imageMichael Schumacher, widely regarded as the greatest driver in the history of Formula 1 cannot walk or even stand. The heartbreaking news that shocked Schumacher fans worldwide was conveyed by his lawyer.

Felix Damm, the lawyer of the German born racing legend, admitted that Schumacher "cannot walk" at a court in Germany as part of a lawsuit against Bunte magazine, which last year reported that the racing icon could walk.

The story by the German magazine was dismissed by Schumacher’s agent, Sabine Kehm, who issued a statement stating, “speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very importantly. Unfortunately, they also give false hopes to many involved people,” reported The Drive.

The admission by Damm come more than two and half years after Schumacher suffered a head injury in a skiing accident in 2013, reported BBC.

Schumacher was placed in a medically induced coma for six months, before being transferred to Switzerland where his treatment was continued. However, very little is known about the seven time F1 world champion recovery as his family has strongly protected his privacy.
