imageThe Rio Olympic ended with a spectacular closing ceremony, in which Tokyo won the hearts of viewers. The celebration includes Brazilian dance, music, and lace making, commercial breaks, American medal counting. The colorful ceremony, ended up almost after three hours, the night was the celebration of Brazil's arts and culture held in a wet Maracana. On the floor of the stadium, a tree grew which symbolize the rebirth. Tongan flag bearer Pita Taufatofua was also among the performers with his trendy oily body.

The Maracana stadium is an open-air stadium, a steady rain fell during the ceremony, as it had for most of the evening, and could be seen blow through the stadium under the lights. However, the athletes did not let the rain affect their parade: Using hoods, plastic ponchos and official team umbrellas, they danced through the drops and kept the energy up as the rain came.

Brazilian anthem was one of the most attractive things for those were visiting the Rio for the first time. The anthem along with the children’s choir with a tremendous view, along with young singers in light-up costumes, who later become the stars on a massive Brazilian flag and the ceremony started with a tremendous performance of young children.

In the closing ceremony, Brazilian model Izabel Goulart led a parade of 50 women and 200 dancers, who joined by a sound truck containing 12 carnival queens.

During the athletes’ parade, the GB players walked into a stadium wearing light-up shoes that flashed red, white and blue. They later on used the shoes on their hands to wave during the musical segments. Gymnast Simone Biles, who won four gold medals, carried the USA flag, while the Women's hockey captain Kate Richardson-Walsh carried the GB flag.

In the ceremony is the most eye-catching part is of handing over the Rio flag, Rio mayor Eduardo Paes returned it to IOC president Bach, before it was passed to Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike that was followed by an impressive 12-minute showcase of Tokyo vibrant carnival parade. One of the biggest joys of the closing ceremony was when Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe appeared dressed as computer game character Super Mario, coming out of a huge green pipe in the stadium.

According to foreign media reports, International Olympic Committee Chief Thomas Bach said, “These were a marvelous Olympics, in a marvelous city. Over the last 16 days a united Brazil inspired the world, in difficult times for all of us, with its irresistible joy for life."

The ceremony, watched by billions around the world, featured the parade of athletes and a spectacular extinguishing of the Olympic flame.

The remarkable ceremony ended with the confetti and firework show. The next Olympics will held in 2020 in Tokyo.
