EUGENE: A rusty Allyson Felix eased into the final of the women's 200m at the US Olympic track and field trials here Saturday.
Felix, the reigning Olympic champion in the event, finished second in her semi-final to advance to Sunday's final at Hayward Field.
The 30-year-old, who won the 400m last Sunday, came home in second behind Tori Bowie with a time of 22.57 seconds.
Afterwards Felix revealed she was unhappy with her performance over the opening curve which she attributed to lack of practice.
"Not as sharp as I'd like to be, but moving on," Felix told reporters.
Asked to assess her performance on the curve, Felix replied: "Not good."
"Unfortunately that's an area that we just haven't had the luxury of working on so I'm just trying to get through with what I have," she added.
Felix, who is also the reigning world 400m champion, is bidding to become only the third woman to win both the 400m and 200m at the same Olympics.
Nevertheless Felix's performance was still the third quickest from the three semi-finals.
Bowie was the fastest qualifier for Sunday's final with a time of 22.27sec with Deajah Stevens second fastest in 22.45sec.
