BEIJING: Veteran Lashawn Merritt displayed all his experience by anchoring the United States to a sixth consecutive victory in the men's world 4x400 metres relay on Sunday.
The US quartet of David Verburg, Tony McQuay, Bryshon Nellum and Merritt timed 2min 57.82sec to stretch a winning run that dates back to Helsinki in 2005.
Trinidad and Tobago claimed silver in 2:58.20 with Britain taking bronze (2:58.51).
