OUAGADOUGOU: Former Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi is one of three names on the shortlist to become Burkina Faso's new manager, the Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) said on Wednesday.
Also in the hunt to succeed Paul Put are ex-Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac and former Gabon and Niger boss Gernot Rohr.
"The FBF plans to name the successful candidate within three weeks," a federation statement read.
Belgian Put stood down after a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Equatorial Guinea.
Runners-up in the 2013 finals in South Africa, the Stallions crashed out in the group stage of the 2015 tournament, won by Ivory Coast.
Keshi, 53, is out of work after failing to agree a new deal with Nigeria which he took to continental glory in 2013 against Burkina Faso.
Rajevac's short African stint proved productive as he steered the Black Stars to the 2010 Nations Cup final as well as reaching the quarter-finals of the World Cup in South Africa the same year.
Rohr took Gabon to the quarter-finals of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil. One year later, he managed Niger but failed to get them out of the group stage despite earning the Menas their first point in Nations Cup history.
