LONDON: Wales prop Rhodri Jones could miss the Six Nations Championship after his club Scarlets disclosed on Tuesday that he has suffered a dislocated shoulder.
The 23-year-old forward, who has won 13 caps, sustained the injury during the Scarlets' 22-10 Celtic League victory over the Ospreys last Saturday and was due to see a specialist on Tuesday.
Jones's front-row colleague Kirby Myhill, meanwhile, has suffered a suspected pectoral muscle tear.
"Scarlets can confirm that tighthead prop Rhodri Jones sustained a dislocated right shoulder, which was relocated while on the field, and was sent for preliminary imaging on Saturday evening," the Scarlets said in a statement.
"Both Jones and Myhill will meet with consultant specialists today (Tuesday) to discuss the prognosis and to put a rehabilitation plan in place."
Wales launch their Six Nations campaign at home to England on February 6.
