Pakistan lost their third Test One Day International (ODI) against Australia, owing to serious missed chances, which cost the visitors losing their grip on the five-match series, trailing 2-1.
The missed opportunity of Australian batsman Peter Handscomb at the hands of Junaid Khan proved much costly, after the debutant was caught at slip in the 11th over. However, he was called back after replays showed that Junaid had overstepped the line.
Handscomb went on to make 82 runs as the hosts achieved a clinical win by reaching the target with seven wickets and 30 balls to spare.
Pakistan cricket head coach Mickey Arthur too was not pleased with Junaid saying it's still no excuse. We've got to be keeping our foot behind the line," quoted cricket.com.au.
The head coach however, was of the view that not all was Junaids fault, as the bowler was bowling through breeze as well. He's not such much of a serial offenderJunaid was battling into the Fremantle Doctor (breeze) a little bit, so that caused him to over stride, he said.
Arthur remains optimistic of a turnaround in the series, saying that the conditions in the upcoming matches would suit Pakistan bowling attack.
"We go to two grounds now where that suits our attack.. Sydney has turned all year, and Adelaide is slower tooSo they are two grounds where our attack definitely comes into play."
