England’s fast bowler James Anderson has expressed that he will accept the advice of the country’s security experts when it comes to deciding whether they should tour Bangladesh.
According to media reports, an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) delegation led by security adviser Reg Dickason accompanied by director of cricket operations John Carr and David Leatherdale of the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) are currently making their own security assessment in Bangladesh.
Their ECB will wait for their report before deciding whether to proceed with the tour.
Anderson, England’s all-time leading wicket-taker, said he and his colleagues would await ECB guidance.
“Obviously as players when you’re going on tour somewhere where there have been incidents in the last few months you try to keep tabs on it and there are discussions going on among players,” Anderson said.
England is due to fly to Bangladesh on September 30 for three ODIs and two Tests.
