Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced the names of 15 players of national team squad for the upcoming one-day series (ODI) against England.
Pakistan will mostly be relying on Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and Yasir Shah for bowling. Meanwhile, veteran right-arm pacer Umar Gul was also able to make a comeback into the national squad with Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz in the ranks. Gul played his last one-day match in Dhaka against Bangladesh in April 2015 before being discarded over his lack of form and fitness, whereas opener Ahmad Shahzad and middle-order batsman Umar Akmal were unable to make it in the squad yet again. Pacers Mohammad Irfan and Anwar Ali were also not made part of the 15-member squad.
Pakistan will play two ODIs against Ireland on 18th and 20th August, whereas, Pakistan will then play five one-day internationals against England in Southampton (August 24), Lord’s (August 27), Nottingham (August 30), Leeds (September 1) and Cardiff (September 4).
However, Pakistan also faces England in the only Twenty20 international at Old Trafford on September 7, the squad for which will be named at a later date.

Azhar Ali (captain), Sharjeel Khan, Sami Aslam, Mohammad Hafeez, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, Umar Gul, Imad Wasim, Yasir Shah and Mohammad Nawaz.
