Pakistan left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz expressed that ahead of the Lord’s Test on Thursday, England are not as tough as they were last year and Pakistani bowlers are looking to exploit the inexperience of the young English batsmen.
According to local media report, the 31-year-old left-armer said he is confident there will be weaknesses to exploit in England’s batting line-up.
“I know they [England’s batsmen] are not as experienced as they used to be,” he told Sportsmail. “They have some new faces who are under pressure to perform, and if we can get Cook and Root out early, it will put a lot of pressure on England’s batting side.”
Riaz has played 15 Tests, 69 one-day internationals and 20 T20Is for Pakistan.
However, Pakistan will play a four-match Test series and a five-match ODI series against England, starting from July 14 at the Lord's.
