Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) on Sunday beat Balochistan by 74 runs in the 6th match of the Pakistan Cup tournament. KPK won the toss and chose to bat first in the match and KPK scored 264 runs in 50overs.
Zohaib Khan scored an impressive (82) runs and Ahmed Shehzad made (79) from 70 balls. Bismillah Khan made 20 runs from 23 balls. While Yasir Shah and Musadiq Ahmed scored 17 and 13 runs respectively.KP finished their innings with 246 runs on the board at the same time as losing 8 wickets.
In reply, Balochistan, despite their efforts, failed to chase down the target and lost the match by 74 runs. Opener Babar Azam made 50 runs from 67 balls. Azhar Ali made 27 runs for Balochistan. However, Umar Akmal once again disappointed his fans by scoring a duck. Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal had a 37 run last-wicket partnership.
Umar Gul, Sohail Tanvir, Bilawal Bhatti grabbed two wickets each for Balochistan while Saeed Ajmal and skipper Azhar Ali took a wicket each as well.
Zohaib Khan was named the Player of the match for his outstanding performance in the match.
