imageFormer Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt has demanded a life time ban on playing cricket for spot-fixing hit Salman Butt.

According to local media reports former chairman said, “Salman should not be allowed to play cricket in any case while the other two cricketers, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir, should be kept under strict check before they could return to competitive cricket”.

He further added, “Although the trio has served their sentence in England, but they should be given punishment in Pakistan as well.”

Ex-chief advised PCB to put a life time ban on Salman Butt and remaining two players should be under observation for at least 6 month for check and balance on their behaviour.

Ijaz was heading the PCB at the time of the spot-fixing scandal in 2010. He said, if he was the current chairman of the PCB he would have never allowed Salman to resume his cricketing career.
