Today, the first Twenty20 International between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Colombo, Pakistan’s skipper Shahid Afridi will look to extend the good run when they take on Sri Lanka in a two match T20 series.
Recently Pakistan team won the Test series after a long wait and recently they have won the ODI series after nine years. The win in the ODI series helped Pakistan had qualified for 2017 Champions Trophy being staged in England.
According to local media reports Shahid Afridi said, “Pakistan have done a good job so far by winning the Test and ODI series and we’ll try to finish off the tour with a victory in the T20 series”.
Afridi added, “I believe that it doesn’t matter whether we win or lose because the idea is to give chances to the youngsters and finalize our squad for the 2016 T20 World Cup”.
Now, Shahid Afridi, will be hoping to lead from the front with both the bat and the ball and will be hoping to prevent Pakistan from making it three trophies in a row.
