Sri Lanka sent to bat on first day of third and final Test match against Pakistan. Sri Lanka is playing without their Star players Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene for the first time after 15 years. This is the golden chance for Pakistan cricket team to beat one of the World’s best team on their home ground.
Pakistani skipper Misbah-ul-Haq said, “We have a best chance to beat them because they are without their big players like Mahela and Sanga. We have never come this close to winning a series against them here in Sri Lanka,” local media reported.
The series is tied at 1-1 after Pakistan won the first Test in Galle by 10 wickets and Sri Lanka took the second in Colombo by seven wickets. Now the third and the deciding match will announce the winner of the series.
Pakistani leg-spinner Yasir Shah has emerged as one of the ‘star player’ in this series. He has shake up Sri Lanka’s confidence from the very beginning. Yasir Shah grabbed three wickets to slow Sri Lanka’s progress on the opening day of the decisive third and final Test in Pallekele on Friday.
Now, Pakistan’s batting performance will decide the future of this series.
