Pakistan’s most successful captain Misbah-ul-Haq condemned Indian media for spreading false rumors about his non-payment of taxes and duty.
The Press Trust of India (PTI) reported that Pakistan’s Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq’s SUV was seized by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) due to the non-payment of taxes and duty. But, the Test skipper rubbished all the rumors and said that he is displeased with the Indian media for publishing such news without any proper evidence.
He said, “The people from the Excise and Taxation department checked the tokens and papers allowed me to go,” said Misbah. “I am taken aback by the news of my car being confiscated. Media should confirm the news before publishing it,” local media reported.
Reportedly, Misbah has also met Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad to resolve the issue.
