The most controversial Pakistani fast bowler and commentator Shoaib Akhtar, who loudly criticizes Pakistan team and its management has been condemned regularly for his harsh and sarcastic criticisms. He has come up with another controversy where he has accused Pakistani cricketers for match fixing.
While talking to Harsha Bhogle on Star Sports, he said, “Pakistan team is not to be taken seriously. All the captains of the team lacked any Cricket knowledge. The results of the matches were decided in the dressing room, and playing in actual did not contribute to the results.”
“I cannot tell you how many fixers there were in the team. In Pakistan Cricket team, everyone played for himself and no played for the team as a whole,” he added.
Previously, ‘Rawalpindi Express’ faced backlash from the Pakistani people when he appeared in an Indian reality TV show and made fun of Pakistani cricket team. That act of Akhtar destroys his reputation in the eyes of Pakistani fans. He teases his own team in front of rival nation. Fans after watching the Indian program fumed over with anger.
However, he didn’t learn from his mistake and once again made controversial statements on an Indian sports channel.
