KARACHI: Seventy five percent tickets for the opening Twenty20 Internationals between Pakistan and Zimbabwe has been sold, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Monday.
"With top-notch security arrangements in place, the response from the fans has been phenomenal. An estimated 75% of the tickets for the first T20 on Friday have already been sold out and authorities are expecting a full house at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore," PCB said in a statement.
Led by all-rounder Elton Chimgumbura, Zimbabwe is the first Test playing nation to visit after terrorists attack on Sri Lankan team bus on March 02, 2009.
While residents of Lahore have the opportunity to buy tickets from all branches of Gourmet Bakers, the PCB has also set up two booths to assist the general public. These booths have been set up near the hockey stadium and at Liberty market.
"Together with its valued partners and fans, PCB is looking forward to welcoming the Zimbabwean team in Pakistan, statement concluded.
