Pakistani fast bowler Imran Khan will replace injured Sohail Khan in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
According to local media reports, On Tuesday the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that Sohail Khan will not recover in time for the two-match Test series. “After consulting with the PCB medical department it was confirmed that Sohail has still not been able to recover sufficiently so the selection committee was unanimous on Imran as replacement for him,” chief selector Haroon Rashid was quoted as saying in a press release.
Sohail Khan became unfit due to muscular tension and will not be able to play the upcoming test series and Imran Khan will be the part of test squad in his place.
Imran Khan was part of Pakistan’s A-Team for Sri Lanka tour but now left arm fast bowler Zia-ul-Haq will replace him for Sri Lanka tour. Imran took 7 wickets in three test matches against New Zealand and Australia in 2014.
