Yesterday, while talking to media in Gaddafi Stadium, dropped out Muhammad Hafeez expressed his sorrows and disappointments regarding his elimination from the historic World Cup event.
According to foreign media reports, Naveed Akram Cheema has sent the clarification note to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about dropping Hafeez from the ICC cricket World Cup 2015. He said that the Pakistan team captain Misbah-ul-Haq and chief selector Moin Khan knew about Hafeez injury and the decision was made mutually. Later he added that the doctor advised Hafeez to rest for 3 weeks.
However, PCB Chairman Sheryar Khan has taken the notice of Hafeez’s claims and asked Pakistan’s team management to clarify Hafeez drop-out from ICC World Cup, local media reported.
Whereas, it is to be hoped that the all-rounder would recover soon from a calf injury and will appear in the second match of the mega event against West Indies on February 21, 2015.
