ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will only be sending off-spinner Muhammad Hafeez and not Saeed Ajmal to India for going through informal biomechanic tests as an effort to get the bowlers cleared before the 2015 World Cup.
The PCB's decision to send the Hafeez to Chennai has apparently been influenced by recent results of Sri Lanka's Sachitra Senanayake and New Zealand's Kane Williamson, who have been cleared to resume bowling in international cricket after their actions were declared legal.
Talking to APP, a PCB official said the visas were applied to the Indian High Commission in Dubai and we are hopeful to get the visas in a day or two.
"Probably Hafeez will fly to Chennai next week for the test at the ICC accredited biomechanics laboratory," he said.
The official said the board has decided to play Ajmal in two ODIs against Kenya before he goes for his final biomechanics test in Chennai.
"Currently Hafeez will be going to Chennai for his informal test while Ajmal will go from after playing matches against Kenya," he said.
The official said most probably Ajmal will go in the last week of December.
