imageLAHORE: Pakistan cricket teams head coach, Moin Khan has said that his two series contract with the team is over and it depends on Pakistan Cricket Board to continue with him or to bring a new face.

"There is no question of stepping down as the chief coach as my two series contract with the team is completed and I am ready to serve Pakistan cricket but all depends on PCB to decide whether to continue with me or to bring my replacement," he told media men at news conference here on Thursday.

The outgoing chief coach hailed the decision of Muhammad Hafeez for stepping down as captain of the T20 team and called for extending support to Hafeez to enhance his confidence as a player to help him perform better in future cricket events.

"Hafeez served Pak cricket to best of his abilities and talent during his two years stint as captain and we must acknowledge his contribution for the cause of Pakistan cricket,"said the former captain.

Moin called for including new players in the team on the pretext to groom them for team's future needs and as a part of team building.

"I think one or two players can be replaced at a time and there is no possibility of bringing in whole sale changes in the team,"he added. The former test wicketkeeper said Pakistan team failed to rise to occasion against West Indies and said the green shirts came under pressure after conceding a lot of runs in the last three overs.

"Our bowlers did not bowl to the required mark in the final session and the rival batsmen piled up runs which added extra pressure on the team and fall of early wickets of our batsmen on regular intervals let us down in the crucial match," said the former captain.

He said Pak batsmen failed to show responsibility and application and could not stay at the crease longer to sustain the pressure and fell at a low total.

"It was not a challenging total it could have been achieved had the batsmen batted with concentration without bowing down to pressure," he added.
