CORTINA D'AMPEZZO: The women's World Cup downhill race at the Italian ski resort of Cortina has been switched to Sunday by organisers after bad weather prevented it from taking place on Saturday.
Heavy snowfall and fog forced the organisers hand, who have moved the super-G originally planned for Sunday to Monday.
Friday's downhill -- scheduled for last weekend at the Austrian resort of Bad Kleinkircheim but bad weather intervened -- was won by Italian Elena Fanchini.
