Pakistan’s young all-rounder Anwar Ali has been rewarded for his memorable innings against Sri Lanka in second T20 match on Saturday. According to reports, PIA spokesman said they were promoting Anwar Ali to an officer rank in the aftermath of his outstanding innings against Sri Lanka.
According to the spokesman of PIA, Chairman and MD of PIA congratulated Pakistan team and Captain Shahid Afridi on winning the T20 match and the T20 series against Sri Lanka. He also congratulated Anwar Ali and awarded him a promotion as an officer in PIA on his excellence performance against Sri Lanka, local media reported.
When Anwar Ali came to bat in second ‘T20’ match Pakistan was 107-7 after the loss of skipper Shahid Afridi who had brought the team back in the match through his knock of 45 runs on 22 balls with one boundary and four maximums.
Anwar innings no doubt, was one of the memorable innings and he proved his batting instinct in the second ‘T20’ with a memorable knock. Anwar Ali scored quick 46 of just 17 balls and brought Pakistan close to an unbelievable victory.
He was awarded also ‘Man of the Match’ award for his match-winning performance.
