islamabad-rangers 400ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party leader Arbab Muhammad Tahir lauded security agencies for making effective security measures during the Ashura.

 

Talking to VOA, he said the government has made comprehensive strategy to avert terrorists' plans.

 

He said stringent security measures have been taken during the month of Muharrum in order to avoid untoward incidents as two suicide bombers were also arrested in Peshawar.

 

Former Senator from Kurrum Agency Syed Jawad Hadi lauded security measures taken by the government.

 

He also praised the steps taken by locals to protect Ashura processions.

 

He said the government has taken effective measures by imposing ban on use of cellular phones and motorbikes.
