HARIPUR: Senior Vice President PPP Babar Awan said that the government would complete its constitutional period and elections would be held on fixed time period.
Talking to media here after offering fateha over the death of the mother of member Pakistan Bar Council, Saeed Akhtar Advocate, he said that those who want reduction in the time period of parliament should come to the house with two-third majority. He said that PPP does not believe in hallow slogans, but had prepared policy in this regard.
Present on the occasion were Secretary Law, Masood Chishti, Deputy Attorney General, Akhtar Awan and others.
Senator Babar Awan said that instead of hallow slogans PPP had framed practical policies and have introduced amendments in the constitution.
He said that under 18th Constitutional Amendment provinces have been granted autonomy, judicial independent under 19th Amendment while 20th Amendment will guarantee the establishment of independent election commission to hold fair and transparent polls.
