imageMITHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah vowed to make the remote district of Tharparkar the developed part of the province with availability of all basic facilities to the people at their doorstep.

The PPP government is spending billion of rupees for building of infrastructure in order to bring the people of remote district at par with other developed districts of Sindh, the Chief Minister said while addressing the free of cost wheat distribution ceremony among the people, here on Friday.

He said that development schemes launched by the present government in Tharparkar which were never witnessed by the people of this remote district in the past hundred years.

The provincial government has so far distributed free of cost wheat among the people with Rs 7 billion while facilities of health and drinking water have also been provided for the people at their nearest by spending huge amount on development schemes, the Chief Minister said and added that Thar Coal Projects would also change the destiny of the people of the area.

The Present government is making all-out efforts to provide safe drinking water at all big and small villages of the district while Rs. 2 billions are being spent on launching of mobile unit service with availability of X-Ray, Ultrasound and blood test facilities so that the people of far flung areas could get health facilities at their nearest, he said.

Added that 187 dispensaries have been activated in Tharparkar district where medics, paramedics and sufficient stock of medicines are available for the people.

Dispelling the impression of neglecting the people of Thar in the coal based projects, the Chief Minister said that the government is opening a training centre to train the youth of Thar for coal excavation and power generation.

The trained youth of the district would soon play their vital role in bringing the economic revolution in the area, he added.

The Chief Minister on the occasion announced "Eidi" of Rs 1500 each for all beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Programme of Tharparkar district.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah was critical over the undemocratic attitude of the opposition and maintained that no such efforts would gain success against PPP and it has deep roots among the masses because of sincere efforts for their betterment.

The PPP fully believed in the power of the people and always strived for their rights and strengthening of democracy in the country, he added.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Mobile Units Services and also gave appointment orders to 56 doctors of the district.

He asked the appointed doctors to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and devotion and serve the humanity without any discrimination.

He informed that he has issued orders to providing maximum facilities for these appointed doctors. He also assured the addressing of all genuine demands of the doctors of the province adding that their salaries would also be raised in the budget.

Among others, Sindh Ministers Jam Mehtab Dahar, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Syed Ali Mardan shah, Advisor Dost Ali Rahimu, MNA Faqir Sher Muhammad alalani and MPA Dr. Mahesh Kumar Mallani also addressed the participants.
