ISLAMABAD: The Upper House of Parliament on Friday adopted a resolution for protection of rights of orphan and abandoned children.
The resolution was tabled by the Leader of the House which was unanimously adopted by the House.
Meanwhile, the House also passed the Un-attended Orphans (Rehabilitation and Welfare) Bill 2016 for the rehabilitation and welfare of the un-attended orphan children.
Meanwhile, the Constitution (Twenty-Second Amendment) Bill, 2016 was deferred on the request of mover, Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid.
