ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Tuesday said the government was determined to eliminate loadshedding from the country till 2018.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the government had initiated a number of power projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor and majority of which were expected to be completed till 2018.
The import of liquefied natural gas would help produce cheap electricity, he added.
He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his cabinet were working on the agenda of facilitating the people.
The Prime Minister, he said, would visit Mansehra on 28 April to inaugurate the second phase of Motorway and Sui gas supply project for Oghi Tehsil.
He said the people had rejected the politics of agitation as they wanted the country to develop. Civil and military leadership were on the same page to counter threats being faced by the country.
He said economy was improving due to the prudent policies of present government while foreigners were investing in the country due to improved law and order.
The minister said the media should play its role by highlighting the government's achievements. All the political parties should support the government for making Pakistan a developed country, he added.
He said the CPEC would benefit all the countries of the region, besides creation of opportunities.
