ISLAMABAD: Describing education as the key element in the progress of nations, President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday called for concerted efforts to improve the standard of education.
He was talking to Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Azam University, Prof Dr Javed Ashraf, who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The President asked the Vice Chancellor to take Quaid-e-Azam University, which he said is a prestigious institution, to new heights of academic excellence and discipline.
The President assured that the university will have his full support in completion of the ongoing development projects and in meeting its financial needs.
The Vice Chancellor apprised the President of steps being taken by him for improving the academic standards and to financially stabilize the university.
The Vice Chancellor thanked the President for his keen interest and support to achieve the desired goals.
