MULTAN: Central leader of Pakistan People's Party and former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Sunday said that local bodies election system was nursery of politics as well as democracy.
Talking to media persons here, he claimed that PPP would show good performance in third phase of LB elections particularly in South Punjab.
He expressed concern that election code of conduct was not strictly implemented. He said that the party was being re-organized properly and hoped that future of country's politics belonged to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
To a question, Gilani remarked that NAB's cases against Asif Ali Zardari were mere waste of government exchequer.
He recalled that he was confined for five years in prison but the courts acquitted him as no charge proved.
