ISLAMABAD: Acting Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi has telephoned the son of injured member National Assembly Rasheed Godil and inquired about Godil's health and prayed for his early recovery.
Murtaza Javed Abbasi paid tribute to Godil for his bravery and valour for standing against terrorism and admired his services to strengthen democracy in the country, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
"Godil is a seasoned politician and an active member of the parliament who always stood to protect the rights and welfare of the masses" he added,
He expressed the hope that Godil would return to the parliament soon to play his pivotal role as a parliamentarian.
Godil's Son expressed his gratitude to the Acting Speaker for calling and apprised him about the health of his father.
He sought assistance of Acting Speaker for his father's treatment abroad, said a press release.
Acting Speaker assured his all out support and directed the concerned quarters to complete the procedural formalities and also make necessary arrangements in this regard.
