KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has constituted a three member committee to examine the report about alleged generation of funds for terrorism through varied means in the metropolis.
The committee comprising Justice (retd) Ghulam Sarwar Korai as its Chairman) and District and Session Judge (retd) Arjun Ram K. Talreja and Home Secretary Mukhtiar Hussain Soomro as members have been asked to submit their detailed assessment in four weeks's time.
A notification in this context has also been issued by Sindh Chief Secretary, Muhammad Siddique Memon with specific reference to "Terms of Reference" (ToR) of the Committee / Task Force.
Accordingly the committe will not only examine the report and evidences about various modes of terrorism financing but has also been assigned with the task to fix responsibility, in the light of the findings.
Moreover, it will also recommend to the provincial government the pre-emptive, preventive and cognitive measures required to curb any such unlawful practices.
