ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastagir on Monday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has taken up the issue of terrorism and showed strong commitment by taking all political forces on board in this regard.
In an interview, he said all intuitions would be linked within a coordinated system for eliminating terrorism and funding of the extremist groups would also be strictly monitored.
To a question, he said government gathered political leadership of Pakistan and action plan was evolved within a week which showed government strong commitment regarding elimination of terrorism.
He said government has started program to root out terrorism from Pakistan, adding that government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would protect the whole nation from the menace of terrorism and extremism.
He explained that action plan does not mean that government would take action against religious seminaries, however, those seminaries which promote extremism will be dealt strictly.
He said government would wash out hideouts and training centers of the militant groups and continue operation till elimination of last terrorist from the soil of Pakistan. He urged Ulema and teachers to play their role in succeeding the action plane.
