ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq suggested establishment of Pakistan-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group in National Assembly of Pakistan and Belarus.
Talking to Ambassador of Belarus Andrei G. Ermolovich, he said Parliamentary interaction would bring both countries more closer.
Pakistan values its relations with Belarus and wants to further strengthen those ties through parliamentary and economic cooperation.
The Speaker said that Pakistan was looking for new trade partners as the government has also offered attractive incentives to foreign investors, said a press release.
He said that it was the best time for the companies of Belarus to explore Pakistan for investment and joint ventures in areas of mutual interest.
He was hopeful that the establishment of Embassy of Belarus in Islamabad will greatly facilitate parliamentary interaction and promotion of trade between both the countries.
He also congratulated the Ambassador on establishment of Belarusian Embassy in Islamabad that would help promote bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Belarus Andrei G. Ermolovich thanked the Speaker for his kind remarks and said that Belarusian political leadership was also attaches immense importance to strengthening of relations with Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan is an important trade partner of Belarus and is interested in broadening trade with Pakistan as both the countries have immense potential to expand bilateral trade and economic relations in diverse fields.
He informed the Speaker about establishment of Embassy of Belarus in Islamabad.
