LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has urged the elements creating hurdles in the process of national development to shun plying negative politics and work for the betterment of the country.
"Enemies of progress and prosperity of the nation are serving for their ulterior motives," he added.
He expressed these views while talking to former Assembly Member Rana Mubashar Iqbal and other elected representatives who met him, here Wednesday.
The Chief Minister said, the PML-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was determined to bring the country out of crises and was serving the masses selflessly. He said, elements staging sit-ins have wasted precious time of the nation and the people want to know why they got the visits of international personalities postponed. He said, due to postponement of the important visit of Chinese President, power projects have been delayed.
Shahbaz Sharif said, the government was successfully implementing public welfare agenda under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and due to its glorious performance and public service politics of sit-ins has failed.
He said the government was striving for economic revival and it is moving in the right direction. He said, several agreements have been signed between Pakistan and China for generation of electricity from coal. He said that these projects would be executed with speed and transparency and their completion will result in elimination of shortage of energy.
He said, Pakistan will achieve the goal of progress and development and will get rid of all its problems.
Former Member Assembly Rana Mubashar Iqbal said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were working day and night for resolving the problems of the masses.
