imageKARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Wednesday adopted a resolution against comment made by PTI chief, Imran Khan allegedly terming a particular group of people as mental slaves.

Senior Sindh Minister, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro tabled the resolution for Imran Khan's alleged derogatory remark about people of the province and asked him to withdraw his remark.

He said the people of Sindh are not only politically conscious and alive to the situation around them but also hold all capacities to address these and make decisions accordingly, without any fear or compulsion.

"Yes! they can and they do take decisions, in accordance to their needs and requirements," said Khuhro.

PTI chief was also reminded that it were the members of Sindh Assembly of un-divided India, that were first to had unanimously supported the demand for a separate muslim state in sub-continent.

A large number of MPAs,including those from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), took strong exception to the remark and supported the resolution.

MQM's Faisal Sabzwari said people in general and politicians in particular need to be extremely cautious about sensitivities involved in discussing people and groups.

"It may not be his intention yet the remark holds connotations hurting for the people," said Sabzwari.
