ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday dismissed petitions seeking Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's disqualification.
The three-member SC bench headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the pleas against 14th Constitutional Amendment and the disqualification of Prime Minister.
The petitions were filed by Babar Awan, Manzoor Qadir, Lawyers Movement and Maulvi Iqbal Haider in 1997.
Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk disposed of the petitions, terming them ineffective.
