KARACHI: Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan Wednesday ordered DG - Rangers and IGP - Sindh not to succumb to any pressure in carrying out across the board action against suspected killers in the city.
Condemning the killing of Maulana Masood Baig, a senior teacher of Jamia Binoria - Aalami, a religious education centre in the city, here this noon, he also asked for early arrest of the unidentified assailants.
Registering his deep grief and heart felt sympathies with the family and students of the teacher, he directed IGP - Sindh to submit him a detailed report about the unfortunate incident.
The incident took place in broad day light.
Governor, Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan said the spate of targeted killings are part of a conspiracy to trigger disharmony among various religious schools of thought in Karachi, which would be firmly handled by the government.
He in his condolence message to Mufti Naim, the father- in-law of Maulana Masood, prayed to Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to the deceased and solace to the bereaved family.
