ISLAMABAD: Former president and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari has condoled the death of renowned journalist and owner of Nawa-i-Waqt media group Majeed Nizami, who died in wee hours of Saturday morning after short illness in Lahore.
Zardari, in a condolence message, said he was grieved over the death of Majeed Nizami, who had worked all his life to build a media institution which later extended its reach to electronic media as well.
"He will be remembered as a principled journalist, who expressed his views without mincing his words and enjoyed respect of his community", he added.
Asif Ali Zardari prayed to Almighty Allah for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength and fortitude for the family to bear loss with equanimity.
