KARACHI: MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has appreciated government's move to take action against terrorists and supported unconditionally to protect country's physical and philosophical assets an MQM press release issued here on Monday said.
Altaf talking to former interior minister and PPP Senator Rehman Malik on telephone, said army had started operation on government's directives against the terrorists for the sake of country's integrity and sovereignty. He said all the political and religious leaderships should support the operation regardless of their personal stakes.
He said federal and provincial governments should take appropriate security measures for public safety to prevent any possible retaliation from the terrorists during on-going operation. He appealed to the public to keep an eye on any suspected element or any abandoned baggage.
Meanwhile, former interior minister and PPP Senator Rehman Malik praised Altaf Hussain for his stance and said other political and religious leaderships should follow him for the sake of country's integrity.
He said even the decision to take action against the terrorists came much later but still was much needed.
