imageISLAMABAD: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Sunday called for looking into closure of five Pakistan International Airline (PIA) offices in Sindh and Balochistan.

Khursheed Shah, in a letter to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, said the PIA should not close its offices in Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Nawabshah and Pasni as it would result not only in the loss of jobs but also a convenient transportation facility for the local populace.

He also called for promotion of PIA officers on merit. For the revival of PIA, the government should take productive steps which woud make it a profitable organization, he added.
