MULTAN: Former Prime Minister and PPP leader Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the party was performing the role of a responsible opposition in the country.
Talking to journalists at the residence of ex-MPA Malik Ahmed Hassain Dehrr on Sunday, Gilani stated the PPP was raising main national issues in the parliament.
Gilani said the country was facing immense internal and external problems and the PPP could not play role of an irresponsible opposition at this juncture.
He recalled the PPP regime had suspended Nato supplies for seven months following Salala incident.
Gilani called for taking notice of drone attacks in populated area of Hangu and also raise the issue at international forums.
On local government elections, he called for proper steps on delimitation of union councils.
To a question on recovery of his abducted son Syed Ali Haider Gilani, he said efforts are being made on all levels to ensure his recovery.
